Buying new in a growing district has two homework items. First, confirm the campus assignment for the specific lot with the district, since attendance zones can change as schools open. Second, ask whether the community is in a water district or public improvement district: Texas law requires the seller to give you written notice of either, and either one adds to what you pay each year.
